Coffee ceremony
The Ethiopian coffee ceremony is one of the oldest and deepest rituals in the world. Coffee is freshly roasted, hand-ground and brewed in a clay jebena. Served in three rounds, Abol, Tona, Baraka, from the strongest to the gentlest. Allow about 45 minutes.

Do I need to book to eat at Ge'eza?+
Booking is recommended in the evening and at weekends, and essential for a coffee ceremony or a group of more than six. It takes a minute online or by WhatsApp on +221 78 660 07 07.
Are there vegetarian or vegan dishes?+
Yes. All Ethiopian fasting dishes are vegan and cooked without butter: shiro, misir, gomen, fosolia, key sir, tikil gomen, alicha ater kik and the beyaynetu that gathers them on one large injera.
Is Ethiopian food very spicy?+
Some dishes are, such as siga wot or anything with berbere. Others are not at all, such as the turmeric alicha stews, gomen or tikil gomen. There is always a mild choice on the menu.
Can I eat gluten-free?+
Traditional injera is made from teff and naturally gluten-free. Tell the team about any allergy or intolerance before ordering.
How much does a meal cost?+
Expect 5,000 to 9,000 F per dish, 7,000 F for an individual beyaynetu, 5,500 F for the Senegalese dish of the day with a drink and attaya, and 1,500 to 4,000 F for drinks and coffees.
